The PachAbela Spirit Gathering works in collaboration with the Ometepe Development Fund, providing economic opportunities to our snack vendors from the Regenerative Food Security Program and the Ometepe Mercadito.

What's included in my ticket?

Your ticket includes 2 locally grown and freshly prepared meals per day, with additional locally grown and prepared snacks available to purchase from local Nicaraguan vendors.

All tickets come with free camping, please bring your own camping equipment.

For more comfort, a limited amount of on-site eco-cabins are available to book as well as off-site accommodation within a 20-minute walk at Nicaraguan-owned businesses. Contact us for details. 

Where is this paradise?

The festival is held at InanItah on the island of Ometepe in Nicaragua. 

How do I get to the festival?

Getting here is the beginning of your adventure!

Before you travel, please be aware, there are only few cash machines on Ometepe, located in the port town of Moyogalpa and work with both Visa and Master cards. You will also find cash machines on the mainland in San Jorge and Rivas on your way to Ometepe.

Coming from San Jorge, Nicaragua 

Ferries leave approximately once an hour to Ometepe from San Jorge. The cost ranges from 35 - 70 cordobas. You'll find the Ometepe ferry schedule here. Ferries arrive to Moyogalpa and San Jose. There limited services in terms of ATMs and shops at the San Jose port.

From either port town of Moyogalpa, you have the option to arrive bus, shuttle or private taxi. 

By Bus:

If you take the bus or a ride towards Merida, get off at the road marked with the large white stone that looks like a chair (the first wide road on the left after Bello Horizonte, 2.3 km from Santa Cruz). Head up the hill, passing by three houses. The road will make a sharp turn to the right. Continue along the road will bend to the left and take you up a steep stone road that ends at the InanItah Urracca Center. The walk takes about 25 minutes.

If you take the Balgüe bus, get off at Santa Cruz. At Santa Cruz shop ask around for a local to bring you up to InanItah. Offer to pay them 100 cordobas and they ought to be more than happy to show you the way. The walk takes about 40 minutes.

Getting To San Jorge, Nicaragua

From Managua:

There are infrequent buses from the Huembes terminal directly to the port in San Jorge (about 100 cordobas). Or you can take the more frequent bus to Rivas (about 100 cordobas) and from there get a taxi to San Jorge (40 - 100 cordobas). Keep in mind that buses run less frequently on Sundays and holidays.

You can also take a taxi directly from directly to San Jorge from other areas of Nicaragua.

From San José, Costa Rica:

By Local Buses:
Transportes Deldú buses will take youPeñas Blancas (the border with Nicaragua) is about 5 hours.  Their bus schedule is located online here. 

At the border, you will need to get your passport stamped on the Costa Rican side and then walk about 1km to the Nicaraguan side and get it stamped again. Allow yourself up to 90 minutes for border formalities in high season. After crossing, you can take a local bus to Rivas for about (about 40 cordobas), and then a taxi to San Jorge (100 cordobas or less).

Keep in mind that buses run less frequently on Sundays and holidays.
